Our custom-built solenoid, that is minutely controlled through the system’s advanced microprocessor, delivers consistent seal-to-seal pressure performance at the platen. With the MS-350 comes the security of a captive lock-out alarm function that will monitor several critical attributes of the machine’s action when the machine is in use. For instance, if heat isn’t detected by the thermocouple, the machine will lock-up and not allow the sealer to function. If the pressure switch is not adjusted correctly, the machine will also lock-out, not allowing its continued use. The machine even evaluates the supply voltage in order to be certain that the machine is receiving adequate power for operation.

But there’s far more to the MS-350’s story, like the password-protected user firewall that will not allow operators to change critical machine settings that were developed during the validation. Only the quality team can access critical settings such as temperature, contact time, and release temperature. This assures that operators will not impact the seal quality in production.

Advanced Microprocessor

The core of the ISO-11607 is the nomenclature "repeatability". The headwater of any repeatable process is electronic control systems such as microprocessors. The heart of the MS-350 series medical packaging sealers is a precision microprocessor that tightly controls the platen temperature in order to engender repeatable seals. If the product fails the visual inspection, the operator is prompted to input one of 10 possible seal failure causations. Once the operator selects the corresponding number of the failure, the unit will date and time stamp the inspection and this information can be purged later on the unit’s included software.

The onboard memory will also hold, as well as date/time stamp, all seal strength information that is recorded on the PTT-100V’s tensile tester. This data archiving is an important part of an audit path.
