V-402
This versatile microprocessor-controlled vacuum sealer represents the magnum opus of vacuum packaging.

The V-402 sealer incorporates an advanced microprocessor that allows for precision fine-tuning of all sealer-controlled functions. Temperature on the microprocessor can be set tightly in order to ensure seal strength compliance against the FDA's QSRs and ISO's 11607. Fully calibratable and easy to adjust, this microprocessor has a few more tricks up its sleeve such as the electronic vacuum gauge. The sealer can be set up for specific vacuum levels. Once those pre-set vacuum levels are achieved, the V-402 sealer will automatically withdraw the vacuum tube and invoke the heat and cool down dwell cycles, netting out a perfectly repeatable vacuum in your pouch in concert with perfectly repeatable seal strength expectations.
The V-402 Medical Pouch Sealer also incorporates its own piston-driven compressor to generate vacuum as well as run the sealer's pneumatic functions. This powerful compressor is designed for hard service and long duty and high throughput utilization. In order to maintain good compressor service over the life of the sealer, the V-402 medical vacuum packager incorporates its own dry filter unit as well as a 5 micron vacuum filter and collection vessel.
V-300
The V-300 self-contained vacuum sealer is designed for quick setup for the user. The simple analog controller allows operators to set temperature based on

the thickness of film and vacuum time in order to precisely control the amount of vacuum on your product. A simple push-to-go button and vacuum nozzle control lever are also located on top of the machine for easy access and use.
The V-300 sealer can also be ordered as a V-300-10D that adds an additional heating element on the upper jaw in order to seal thick bags such as foil gusseted (pleated) coffee bags. This unit has been used on production lines netting out thousands of bags during a single shift. This unit is known for its robust design and ergonomic operation. Learn More
V-402-VGT
Van der Stahl Scientific is excited about its latest technology. The V402-VGT. This patent pending technology is slated to change the way medical device packaging companies package atmosphere critical medical devices. Many medical device companies that produce medicine embedded devices have found that an ambient environment can produce moisture within the pouch have damaged the efficaciousness of their embedded drug.

Moisture has been shown in many drug embedded devices to change the chemical structure of the embedded drug and therefore medical device makers have been struggling for solid solutions to manage this unfavorable environment. With a newV402-VGT, device companies can remove the ambient environment from the pouch and further, flushes the pouch with an inert gas such as nitrogen or argon.
This flushing process greatly aids in the removal of unwanted gases within the pouch, creating a more stable environment for the drug-embedded medical device. But there is another important aspect to gas flushing a medical pouch. This process also removes the oxidization of an embedded drug and device by leaving behind only inert gas that will not oxidize the chemistry or part. Learn More
Manage Moisture and Oxygen Within Your Medical Pouch
Vacuum packaging your medical device may be the best decision you ever made. As we roll into a changing medical device paradigm, we see now more than ever customers recognizing a need for a controlled environment for their medical device. Many new devices are embedded with pharmacopeia and the chemistry can change quickly in the presence of moisture or oxygen. Vacuum packaging can control unwanted ambient gases to better assure that your medical device’s efficaciousness is not compromised. And although we have much to say about the negative interactions of an ambient atmosphere, we have to look also to other solid benefits of a vacuum packaged medical device.
V-402-10 Medical Vacuum Sealer
This advanced medical device vacuum packager is completely self-contained and only requires 110v as its captive compressor manages all machine functions for repeatable seals.
Microprocessor-Controlled
No need to slow your packaging line when you switch to a different pouch material. Just toggle in the menu to the appropriate recipe and quickly get back to packaging.
Many devices can be greatly affected by constant shifting while in transit as common carriers such as UPS and FedEx seem to ignore more and more the word fragile quality engineers are scattering, looking for ways to be one step ahead of bad handling. Much like the famous egg drop challenges at MIT, we have to see what we can do as critical packagers to thwart possible environmental impacts that are out of our control.
Many of our customers have found that by cradling their product, sometimes, inside of a thermal formed tray and in a foil-vacuumed pouch, they are able to greatly thwart movement during shipping process. This creates less chafing and less collateral damage to the device on its way to the point of use. The V-402 vacuum sealer was built and designed with medical device manufactures in mind.
This system is completely validatable and all functions are controlled by a Hitachi microprocessor. The V-402’s smart systems allow incredible accuracy even finely metering the amount of vacuum that is being created. For instance, you can select, say, 35 KPA, and once the vacuum reaches that atmosphere, the nozzle automatically withdraws out of the pouch and starts the heating process and then continues to cool while under pressure. After the vacuum and sealing process is complete the jaws open reveling a perfectly vacuumed and sealed pouch.
Our new vacuum sensing technology allows Quality groups to develop SOP dialog about the pouches controlled environment. This system help critical packagers to gain confidence that the gas environment surrounding their device is stable. Yes, there are other vacuum devices in the market but it seems that with findings made during our tradeshow espionage, that some of these machines are not really up to the medical device regulatory mandate. For instance, our system does not use outside shop air.
We control platen pressure with our own captive piston compressor. Our microprocessor finely gates and manages and feeds back data from the systems sensors to assure that the system is engendering compliant seals time and time again. At a recent Medical Device tradeshow in Anaheim California we asked a potential customer that was interested in a vacuum packaging machine for his medical device to take a close look at the V-402, we mean a close look. Open the hood, look at how are wiring harnesses are built, how we route tubing.
After taking a look at our machinery the customer walked the tradeshow, returned to our booth and described one of our competitors machine as a 7th graders science fair project. But it is with our precision build out on the V-402 that will assure your vacuum sealer is in it for the long haul. Our company is in the medical device packaging business. 98% percent of all of our sales come from medical device companies like yours. The remainder typically is dispersed through critical packaging customers, for instance, electronic component manufacturing companies.
It seems that some of the companies providing equipment with the nomenclature “validatable”, really don’t have a strong enough understanding of what is involved under the more robust ISO 11607 medical device packaging guidelines. Our staff employs Certified Packaging Professionals and our team leader comes from a micro surgical device background. So not only are you receiving the most technologically advanced vacuum sealer with the V-402, you’re doing so with the support of our world-class engineering group.
Our service center is staffed with factory trained technicians and our parts department mantra, is pure customer’s satisfaction.
